A Ribbon quilt is a type of Memory Quilt, and an extraordinary way to show off your hard earned ribbons. They are made from your ribbons into wall hangings or pillows and become a unique piece of art. Although an actual bed quilt could be made, these tend to get heavy and probably wouldn't be too practical.

We take any type of ribbon you have earned (horse and dog events, sports, Mary Kay) to create a one of kind work of art. The ribbons are taken apart, and the 'tails' are resewn into various patterns. The quilting is done, and then the rosettes are sewn on by hand. Don't worry about how many you have, we can make anything from a small pillow size to 60" square. We can also include embroidery, photo transfer or traditional quilt blocks to capture that special moment, season, or team.

Prices range from $65.00 for an 18" x 18" pillow to $500.00 for approx. 50" x 50". Prices vary with additions of embroidery and/or photos. But, rest assured, we will work with you and your budget.

A T-Shirt quilt is exactly what is sounds like - a quilt made from your tee shirts! We take your favorite stained and worn out tee-shirts (you know the ones that really shouldn't be worn in public anymore!) and turn them into snuggly couch throws, bed quilts or wall hangings. It's amazing how something that looks so grungy, can be born again!

The shirts are cut apart (you get some great rags out of them!) and the design portions are used in a creative way to make a lovely quilt. They can be pieced together using cotton, flannel, fleece and even wool depending on the warmth you are looking for. Quilted Horse Designs can incorporate machine embroidery and/or photo transfer into these quilts as well. We have created quilts using shirts from a runner, an actor, a dog lover, and a Chicago Bears fan.

T-Shirt Quilts make great gifts for all kinds of occasions, especially high school graduation. Steal all those icky tees from your favorite senior and let us put them together with school colors and voila! a comfy, homey quilt for that college dorm. The term memory quilt encompasses many possibilities but is essentially a way to use fabric, signatures or photos to remember a person, pet, or special occasion.

For a wedding reception, shower, or retirement party, we provide pre-made blocks, special pens and directions for guests to sign. Then, the blocks are made into a quilt for a lifetime memory of your special occasion. This is a fun activity for baby showers that then becomes a fabulous one of a kind baby quilt.

Clothing from a loved one can be used to make a quilt, pillow or so much more. How about a snuggly couch throw made from a loved ones clothing, or a pretty Christmas tree skirt made from their ties, or even a purse you can use every day? This is also a fun way to save those adorable baby clothes your child has outgrown, but you can’t bear to part with.

Memorialize your beloved pet with a wall hanging, pillow or couch throw featuring photos transferred to fabric, parts of their clothing (bandannas, coats), bedding, or toys. For wall hangings we can even include 3D elements, such as collars, tags, halters, horseshoes, etc. We can include photos transferred onto fabric and/or machine embroidery on any of the above and remember my motto: “If you can dream it…I can sew it”!

Using a photo as a guideline, your pet (horse, dog, cat, etc) is recreated into a portrait quality, quilted wall hanging. Many pieces of fabric are layered to create the fur or feathers, then it is heavily quilted using specialty threads or ribbons to create the animals texture.

Names, breeds and/or pedigrees can also be added with machine embroidery.

Quilted Horse Designs uses state of the art computerized embroidery machines to embellish many different items. We use both stock and custom embroidery designs to meet our customers needs. We are a mid size company and therefore able to do just one item, as well as large quantities.

We can take your exact company or group logo and digitize it into stitches that can then be put onto any item of your choosing. We can also create a more budget friendly logo for you, using stock designs and fonts.
